Rebecca Thomas’ film “Electrick Children” had its US premiere this week at SXSW; Team Love fans in the audience may have recognized a song or two. Conduits’ song “Top of the Hill” provides the soundtrack for the trailer (above), and the movie also features a cover of The Nerves “Hangin on the Telephone” by Tilly and the Wall/Flowers Forever’s Derek Pressnall.

Speaking of pre-orders, it’s not too late to pre-order Simone Felice‘s self-titled debut solo album! All pre-orders come with free instant downloads of three songs from the record – “Hey Bobby Ray”, ”New York Times”, and “You and I Belong”, and pre-orders placed before March 20th will include a hand-printed, limited edition signed poetry print, made in the Catskill Mountains in NY. Team Love is proud to release the final version of the film, “One of My Kind: the story of the Mystic Valley Band”. To accompany this, we are including eleven songs compiled from the outtakes of both Mystic Valley Band sessions. We use the phrase, for the fans, because that is what this project is; a release for those that were lucky enough to experience the magic and excitement of the Mystic Valley Band when their jackets were still clean and their chemistry was bursting with ideas and potential.
Both CD and LP include a DVD of “One of My Kind: The Story of the Mystic Valley Band”, a full length documentary feature by Philip Schaffart. LP includes a CD version of the album as well. One of My Kind will not be in stores until May 15th, but pre-orders will ship out on May 1st. PRE-ORDER “ONE OF MY KIND”
From the Tillies: Hey y’all! Tilly and the Wall is looking for a handful of youngsters to star as a pack of love-rabid, desert youths in a new video we are making! The video will be shot on February 18th, all day, in Joshua Tree, California. We need a two 7-8 year olds, four 12-14 year olds and one or two in their later teens. We, unfortunately, have a verrrry small budget so we cannot compensate monetarily but will provide food and lots of fun!!! Released on May 1st, 2012 on Team Love Records, Orangefarben is as much of a reflection of one relationship as it is of the relationships we all have with one another. There’s giddy joy, desperate sorrow, yearning, fear, frustration, and a depth of emotion that can only come when sharing little or big portions of yourself with a kindred spirit.
