Hey y'all! Tilly and the Wall is looking for a handful of youngsters to star as a pack of love-rabid, desert youths in a new video we are making! The video will be shot on February 18th, all day, in Joshua Tree, California. We need a two 7-8 year olds, four 12-14 year olds and one or two in their later teens. We, unfortunately, have a verrrry small budget so we cannot compensate monetarily but will provide food and lots of fun!!!

Things are happening, it's 2012, that's officially living in the future. Let's start with Conduits. The band's hometown blogs picked up the news quick that Team Love was going to be putting out this much loved Omaha 6 piece with Rock Candy Omaha and Tim Lazy i both spreading the good word. Mix Tape Muse have posted the first track from the album and Chuck P at KCRW dropped the track into his show over the weekend. Conduits are on tour w/ Cursive this spring, the dates are here. Next up, the poet, the outlaw, the founding member of the Felice Brothers, elder brother Simone Felice has recorded a masterpiece that explores the darker corners of gothic america. Plenty of noise on the tubes about this one including mentions by Birds Need Feet, The Line of Best Fit, Audio Cred and the always brilliant Songs by Toad. Simone's playing a very special release show at the Mercury Lounge in New York City on March 30, get your tickets here. Finally, a shout out to Anika in London who tells us about her discovery of Team Love back in the day so Anika, if you are reading this, keep an eye out because some amazing stuff is coming soon....

Announcing Conduits self-titled debut album in stores 3/20!

Though they hail from a town famous for producing singer-songwriters, Conduits' music wouldn't feel right played on an acoustic guitar. These guys know that a perfectly placed drum hit, a thunderous synth bass crescendo, or a squalling guitar can sometimes be just as crushing as any lyric or chord progression. They draw as much from Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine as they do from Fleetwood Mac and Led Zeppelin, and probably land somewhere in the middle. "

Our comrades at Slumber Party Records have released the new McCarthy Trenching album and it is full of dark and twisted beauty. Watch the first video here at Hear Nebraska. An excellent interview with The Berg Sans Nipple has appeared on Subba Cultura, while reviews continue to drip in via Tiny Mix Tapes, and the NME. Want to go even deeper? Then check out this Interview and photo spread over at The Stimuleye. The folks at Songward have presented an intro of sorts on Tilly and the Wall. Punk News and Not Popular both have the skinny on the upcoming David Dondero-Kevin Seconds tour and one of the great music blogs Songs by Toad were kind enough to preview DD's Scotland tour by posting the great Rothko Chapel. On to our favorite El Paso seekers, Refried Ice Cream, who get broken down at Lung Books. And one of our new favorite bands. Announcing the Team Love RavenHouse Gallery

In the summer of 2009 Team Love moved from the East Village of Manhattan to the Hudson Valley community of New Paltz. We’d been through town on occasion while visiting the Felice Brothers, and whether it was the two healthy record stores located across the street from one another, or the stunning rock cliffs that guarded the town to the west, the village quickly became the focus of our ideas and dreams for what Team Love could become in the future.
Two years later, we’re delighted to announce the arrival of Team Love RavenHouse Gallery. The space, at 11 Church Street in the village of New Paltz, is joint effort of Team Love Records and RavenHouse Management. It serves as both company's offices, as well as existing as a space open to the public that includes an art gallery and a retail space selling music, cloth, metallic bugs, colorful lamps, comic books, used records, and more.
Why? In a nutshell, after spending most of the last decade despairing over the shuttering of great record store after great record store, and witnessing the tedious shift from the physical to the cyber, we decided it was time to push back a bit, to claim at least a few square feet of actual tactile space for ourselves, to build a wall, hang some vinyl lps on it, and open shop. That task is now complete, so if you find yourself driving north on the NY Turnpike, come visit out town and our shop. We promise there is no other place like it.
This month the gallery features a series of limited edition prints by Butch Hogan. The show includes never-before-seen images of Willy Mason, Desaparecidos, Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band, and more.
