Jan 25th | Tilly and the Wall looking for kids to be in a video + Simon Joyner Kickstarter album

From the Tillies:
Hey y’all! Tilly and the Wall is looking for a handful of youngsters to star as a pack of love-rabid, desert youths in a new video we are making! The video will be shot on February 18th, all day, in Joshua Tree, California.
We need a two 7-8 year olds, four 12-14 year olds and one or two in their later teens. We, unfortunately, have a verrrry small budget so we cannot compensate monetarily but will provide food and lots of fun!!!
Please contact us at tillyvideo@gmail.com if you are or know anyone who might be interested in joining us for some awesome times in the desert! :)

And on another note, our dear friend Simon Joyner is making a new record that will be funded entirely through Kickstarter! To help him out, visit his Kickstarter page. We’ll be carrying the album in at the Team Love RavenHouse Gallery once it’s completed.

Jan 23rd | Announcing Sea of Bees – Orangefarben

Released on May 1st, 2012 on Team Love Records, Orangefarben is as much of a reflection of one relationship as it is of the relationships we all have with one another. There’s giddy joy, desperate sorrow, yearning, fear, frustration, and a depth of emotion that can only come when sharing little or big portions of yourself with a kindred spirit. Just as Julie Ann Bee was unafraid to share so much of herself on this album, she encourages you take to Orangefarben with the same fearless abandon.

PLEASE NOTE: “Sea of Bees” WILL NOT BE IN STORES UNTIL MAY 1, 2012. ALL PRE-ORDERS WILL SHIP TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO STREET DATE.

THE CATCH ALL

Our comrades at Slumber Party Records have released the new McCarthy Trenching album and it is full of dark and twisted beauty.  Watch the first video here at Hear Nebraska.  An excellent interview with The Berg Sans Nipple has appeared on Subba Cultura, while reviews continue to drip in via Tiny Mix Tapes, and the NME. Want to go even deeper? Then check out this Interview and photo spread over at The Stimuleye.  The folks at Songward have presented an intro of sorts on Tilly and the Wall. Punk News and Not Popular both have the skinny on the upcoming David Dondero-Kevin Seconds tour and one of the great music blogs Songs by Toad were kind enough to preview DD’s Scotland tour by posting the great Rothko Chapel. On to our favorite El Paso seekers, Refried Ice Cream, who get broken down at Lung Books. And one of our new favorite bands. Breakfast in Fur received three quarters of a perfect review at the brilliant In Your Speakers. Well done everyone!
